Tips for a Long Lasting Marriage

  • by Isabel Miguel

With the new release of our Mr. and Mrs. Collection, we wanted to create a blog post catered specifically to our customers who are married couples or newlyweds. Marriage is a big deal and an even bigger commitment. Some people dive head-first into marriage, and some like to take years of planning before the big day. Whatever the case, we wanted to provide some tips for keeping your marriage long, successful, and full of prosperity.

1. Communication  Communication is the one of the building blocks to a stable relationship. Without it, your foundation will crumble rapidly. You need to be able to be verbal with your partner, and you cannot expect them to figure everything out from "the silent treatment." Voice your opinions, your concerns, and your thoughts. This goes hand-in-hand with being a good listener as well.

2. Honesty – It's called the best policy for a reason, enough said. If you can't be honest with your spouse, your relationship won't be built on trust and loyalty.

3. Continue to Date – Just because you're married doesn't mean you have to stop doing all the things you did when you two were dating. Go out on picnics, take bike rides, have a weekly or monthly date night, and have a movie night. The little things matter and help a relationship continue to flourish and blossom into something beautiful. When your marriage seems dull, don't forget the little things about your partner that make them happy: their favorite dessert, a compliment about their new haircut, or a spontaneous gift (like a matching couple shirt!). Sometimes, those minuscule details count the most.

If you enjoyed these tips, feel free to share our blog post or read our other blog posts. Keep up with us on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. If you buy any of our matching couple hoodies or matching couple phone cases, please tag us in your photos!
